ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is one of the most widely used engineering materials on the market. For an amorphous polymer, it has very good chemical and stress crack resistance to many minerals, acids, and bases. ABS is not good with any hydrocarbons or other petroleum based chemicals, so be careful when choosing ABS. It is platable and very easy to work with. ABS can be solvent welded or sonically welded as well.
